Looked up Ethel's ex-employer in a Calcutta directory and found that he is a master pilot...'from what I saw of the Hoogley pilots when I was out there should say that on the whole they are the hardest drinking lot of men one could find anywhere...' Cable reads: 'agreement void leave 29th demand clothes passage money however if refused leave without either instruct solicitor.'
