To HRJS from T H Norton 'The Luton Liberal Club have asked permission to hold their annual pic-nic in Ampthill Park...' asks if there is any objection. Copy of reply states no objection '...I would suggest that my sheep and Cattle be confined during the day in the lower part of the Park. On former occasions much litter has been left by paper &c being thrown about and also damage done to sheep by broken Bottles and glass cutting their feet.'
