'I have imformed the Duke of Bedford that I am about to give up Ampthill Park, we shall probably leave it this Autumn early in October but I am bound to keep it till Michaelmas 1884...would you be so good as to send me in some forage for my horses I shall probably send down 3 on Saturday and two on Monday or Tuesday'
