Becke, District Registrar at Northampton and extracted by the administrator… 'Be it known that John Holdstock of 22 Edward Street, Luton, Beds who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at 22 Edward Street aforesaid… died on the 17th Jan 1910, widower and intestate. Be it further known that letters of administration were granted to Charles Holdstock the natural and lawful son and one of the next of kin of the said intestate And it is hereby certified that an affidavit for Inland Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shown that the gross value of the said estate within the United Kingdom (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £132/10/- and that the said affidavit bears a stamp of £1/10/-'.
