Letter from Charles Holdstock of 22 South Road, Luton to F. Tanqueray of Woburn, solicitor… 'your letter of yesterday addressed to my late father John Holdstock has been handed to me. Mr. John Holdstock was a first cousin of Sarah Spring deceased by his mother who was a sister of Mrs. Spring's mother. Mr. John Holdstock, however, died on the 16th Jan 1910, and I Charles Holdstock of 22 South Road, Luton am his eldest son. My father did not leave a will. With reference to Miss Clara Jane Holdstock, she is not a daughter of my father John Holdstock, but is a second cousin of the deceased Sarah Spring by her father Benjamin, whose mother was the sister of Sarah Spring's mother mentioned above. Benjamin and John Holdstock were brothers'.
