Letter from G.& D.T.Willis at Leighton Buzzard to John Thomas Green: "The time named by you Friday 9th instant will suit us to complete & we will be with you about 3 o'clock if convenient. Your purchase account so far as the calculation is concerned is perfectly correct but we shall object to pay interest after a higher rate than £4 per cent as delay was not through us that the purchase was not completed earlier & there is no mention in the agreement as to the amount of interest to be paid. We hear from Mr.Wigley that Mr.Holdom has bought through him the House &c."
