Letter from George Slark at The Hatch, Bletchley, [Buckinghamshire] to John Holdom: " I am very sorry and greatly surprised that you should attempt to repudiate my claim against you for Commission as your Agent on the Sale of your property of which I hold abundant proof as to its genuiness [sic]; and by so acting you of course put me to the unpleasant task of proving that fact in a Court of Justice, which step I am now compelled to take in my own defence. If under the circumstances you thought I had overcharged you, and had come to me in a straightforward manner, I would probably as I was expecting I was dealing with an honourable man, have made some concession, but as it now stands it is entirely out of the question"
