  • Title
Letter from George Slark at The Hatch, Bletchley [Buckinghamshire] to John Holdom: "As the time for the completion of this Purchase is now drawing near, I beg to enclose you my Account [HN10/271/Holdom21], as no doubt you will be anxious to have but one settlement. Of course Messrs Willis pay me for my work in the Surveys and preparation of the Plans of the "Yards End Property" according to Agreement. I think you may fairly congratulate yourself on having made a very successful sale, especially after what you tell me about the House being in such a dreadfully delapidated [sic] state. Messrs Willis have of course to realize their money and they will have yet a great deal to expend upon the property. If I can be of any assistance to you in helping get out your new plans or giving you my ideas and suggestions as to the laying out of your Homestead and Grounds, I need hardly say my services are always at your disposal"
