Copy letter from F.& D.T.Willis at Leighton Buzzard to George D.E.Wigley at Winslow [Buckinghamshire]: "You will not we believe be surprised to hear that we have bought Mr.J.Holdom's House & Close in the rear situate opposite the church at Fenny Stratford. In our agreement we have stipulated that his plots at Yards End now advertised for sale are to be withdrawn and we are to have the benefit of his advertisements as we propose to have our sale at the same time and place and we shall be obliged by your conducting the sale for us. We have arranged with Mr.Slark to do the plotting out of the ground for us and to superintend the making of the New Roads &c. We propose that a similar Poster to the one now circulated on Mr.Holdom's behalf should be adopted for us with of course the alteration of the number of the Plots which you will ascertain from Mr.Slark and also as to the names of Messrs Willis at the front of the Poster instead of Mr.Green [see HN10/271/Holdom13] Mr.Holdom promised to write Mr.Green last night and he instructed Mr.Slark to send him a copy of our agreement for sale & purchase on his behalf. If you will kindly see that the Type is not distributed & have some fresh Posters made for us with the alteration we have suggested we think nothing further is required"
