Letter from Charles H.Tanqueray at 5 Pall Mall East,London to Frederic Tanqueray: " You will see by the enclosed that my father has paid to Messrs Richards the remaining £250. Will you let me know what amount the deeds show my father is indebted to Aunt Elizabeth & is it necessary that you should have a note of hand from him for the same as it now stands. I will write to Aunt to say the money is paid & that I have sent you her letter of the 11th Sept 1869. I had a letter from Australia on Monday to say that George died last April. I am glad he survived my Mother as she would have felt his loss very much poor fellow. I fear his life was not a happy one"
