    Draft Mortgage & Further Charge. Parties: (i) William Marks of Ampthill, Beds, butcher. (ii) Philip Cole of Watford, Hertfordshire, retired housekeeper. Reciting: - Mortgage dated 29th Jan 1906 between (1) (i) and (2) Amy & Fanny Rayment whereby (1) conveyed (a) unto (2) as security for repayment of £300 with interest at £4 per cent per annum. - Transfer of said mortgage from Amy & Fanny Rayment to (ii) dated Dec 1908. - Principal sum of £300 is still due to (ii) but all interest has been paid. Operative: - Further charge from (i) to (ii) of £400 and interest with £4/10/- per centum per annum (£700 altogether with recited mortgage). (a) is discharged as security for mortgage and (i) now conveys (b) to (ii) as the new security for repayment. Property: (a) Messuage with gateway on the S side of Church Street, Ampthill, Beds together with outbuildings such as the slaughter house now in the occupation of (i). Bounded on N by Church Street, S by property of Frederick Sharp and W by property of James Smith. (b) Property known as the Rose & Crown beerhouse at Church Street, bounded on N by Church Street, E & S by property of Frederick Smith and W by (a). Habendum: - To hold unto and to the use of (ii) subject to the usual mortgage provisos for redemption. Witnessed by H.J. Webber, clerk to Mr. Tanqueray, solicitor of Ampthill.
