  • Title
    Folio 177d Richard Flaunders of Colmorth made 18 Apr. 1543 proved 12 Oct. 1543. Burial in the church yard of St. Denys in Colmorth. To the high altar 8d.; "to the hyrse for the leght" 4d.. To son William Flawnders a cow and 40s. to buy 3 beasts, which four beasts are to be hired out for 2s. a year each for the benefit of the child. To daughter Ame a two year old bullock and a mark in money to buy her another cow, each to be let similarly for 2s. a year. 12s. is to be spent on his burial. The residue to his wife Margery, sole executrix, who is to deliver the 6 beasts to Master Fetzhugh within 2 years. Should she remarry within the 2 years, she is either to deliver the beasts or give security for them. Supervisor Master Fetzhugh, to whom 3s. 4d.. Should one child die, then the survivor is to inherit both shares. Witnesses William Fynche, T. Flawnders, John Newman of the Churche Ende.
