    Folio 151 William Grey of Langford, made 8 Dec. 1542, proved 12 Apr. 1543. Burial in the church yard of St. Andrewe in Langford; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. Half a quarter of barley each to the high altar for tithes forgotten; the bells in Langford church; the upkeep of the Sepulchre light; the upkeep of the church. To his wife Elzabeth the house where he dwells, with appurtenances for life, but if she remarry then testator's son William Gray is to have the house and appurtenances for ever. Wife is to have half of the residue of goods and chattels, and son William Gray is to have the other half. To Agnes Gray a weaning calf. To William Heming a quarter of barley. To William Stubbes half a quarter of wheat to his marriage, and every year an acre of land ploughed and sown with barley as long as he dwells with testator's wife. To John Lylly half a quarter of barley the year that the field next to Arlyshey is sown. To Thomas Sterneing a weaning calf. Executors his wife Elzabeth, and his son William Gray.
