Folio 142 Umfray Butler, made 1542, proved 13 Nov. 1542. Burial in the church yard of All Hallowes in Lytlington; to the mother church of Lincoln 1d.; to the high altar of the parish church 2d.. To his son Richard the house where testator lives after the death of his wife. Son Richard and testator's wife Alys shall pay from the house and land 20s. sterling to each of his daughters on their marriages. To son William the house at Church End with appurts. at the age of 21. To son John a close with appurtenances lying by the Shorte Layne Syde at the age of 21. Residue to his wife, executrix, to keep his children. "Also I pray yow John Symms and John Medelton as I put my truste in yow that yow will helpe hir and socor hir at hir nede". Witnesses John Lyllingston, John Symms, John Medelton.
