    Folio 140d Thomas Taler of Marston, made 23 Mar. 1542/3, proved 12 Apr. 1543. Burial within the church yard; to the high altar 2 bushel of malt; to the church of Lincoln 2d.; to the use of the church a coverlet. To the use of the town a cow "and the stocke never to Dye", and the annual rent to be put to the repair of the highways, and the town men to have the letting of the cow. To Thomas Mede a half acre of barley, a half acre of pease, and a "thyrkyndell" of wheat. To John Mede his son a calf. To Robert Basterfilde a half acre of barley, half a thyrkendall of wheat and Langeram Hadland. To Thomas Tayler testator's horse and a whole acre of pease, and to John his son a heifer. To John Bell half an acre of pease, and half an acre of wheat. To Richard Bell his son a calf worth 2s. 8d.. To John Toler half an acre of wheat and a thyrkyndell of barley. To sir Richard Beckett 2s. 8d.. To Robert Walle 8d.. A trental of masses to be sung and done for souls of testator, his wife and all Christians. Residue at the disposition of his executors, John Franckelyn and Robert Capon, each to have 10d.. Witnesses sir Richard Beccar curate, Robert Walle, Richard Toller, Richard Doggett. His funeral is to cost 27s. 8d..
