Folio 95d Richard Yong' of Marston Morteyn, made 2 Sep. 1541, pr. 10 Oct. 1541. Burial in the church yard of Marston; to the high altar 2 bushel of wheat; to the church of Lincoln 2d.. He wishes that some honest priest should sing for the souls of the testator and all Christians in the parish church of Marston for one whole year for £6 sterling. To the Rood light 2 bushel of barley; to the high altar in Marston church to be prayed for, a mass book. To the Home lane and the lane at Trinite Chapell 10s.; to Brode Water Brege and the Layne at the Wodd Ende 10s. To William Rede a cow that is at hire and 5 sheep and a weaned calf to each of his 3 children. To Richard Rede, testator's godchild, 20s.. To John Rede a heifer and 6 sheep, and after the death of testator's wife the best coffer and the best brass pan. To his dau. Alys the wife of William Rede 6s. 3d.. To his servant John Cowper goods to the value of 40s.. To sir Richard Beket for his pains 3s. 4d.. To every godchild a sheep or a lamb. Residue to his now wife Jone Yong, and she is to be an executor with Robert Wodill, the latter to have 6s. 8d.. Master William Marshall, parson there, to be Supervisor.
