Scope and Content
Burial in the church yard of St. Mary Magdelene in Westonynge; to the high altar for tithes forgotten 3s. 4d.; to the bells 3s. 4d.; to the Sepulchre light 12d..
To John Day 2 quarter of barley at Michaelmas next, and also testator's brown horse. To Robert Day 3 quarter of barley at the same feast. To William Day of Sondon 3 quarter of barley at the same feast.
His wife Margret is to have testator's three copyholdings for her lifetime, keeping up the reapirs, and on her death 2 copyholdings are to go to testator's son William (if he is still living) or to the eldest surviving child of the testator. The third copyholding called Worthinge is to remain to his son Thomas.
All moveable goods are to be divided into three parts: the first to fulfill funeral expenses and legacies; the second to his wife; the third to his children.
If any child should die before reaching lawful age, their part is to be divided between the survivors. His wife is to have the custody of the under age children. Should she remarry, then every child is to have its share.
