Scope and Content
Burial in the church yard of Shytlington; to the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar of Shytlington 12d.; to the whole body of the church of Shytlington 6s. 8d.; to every godchild 4d..
The house where the testator lives in Grene Ende and the land going with it to go to his dau. Alys for her life time, then to her son Richard Enseham, and after his death the house to go to Alys' youngest son William Ansell and his heirs.
To five children of his daughter, that is to William Ansell, Johanne, Elzabeth, Margret and Johanne the younger, 40s. each.
Thomas Persell is to have the house he dwells in for his lifetime, paying the rent of 3s. 4d., and on his death the house is to go to John Nicolles for his lifetime, paying a penny a year to "the grownd that I dwell in", and on his death the house to revert to William Ansell and his heirs. To John Nicollys testator's best gown, a quarter of malt and 6s. 8d..
Residue to his dau. Alys, and she and her son Richard are to be executors, and they are to deal with his burial and month's mind.
