Scope and Content
Burial in the parish church yard of St. Swethune in Sandey. To the high altar in Sandey 8d.; to the Rood light 12d.; to the Sepulchre light 12d.; to "the gylding of the Sepulcar 12d."; to the bells 12d..
To the mending of the high ways in Gretford "aganst my owen howse" 4s.; for a Church Ale to buy a banner cloth 6 bushels of malt.
To daughter Margreat Kater a cow.
To Elzabeth Kater the elder and Thomas the younger to each of them a sheep.

To "my mayden" Agnes Palmer all the moveables within the house, a cow worth 12s., also 6s. 8d. in money, 3s. 2d. for wages and the hire of her cow, 2 young hogs in the yard and 2 hogs in the "Roffe", a young lamb , 2 loads of wood which testator bought in Mr. Gascons wood (Agnes paying for the carriage of the wood) a rood of rye growing in Langlandes Furlong. She can dwell in testator's house for a year and a half after testator's death, the rent to be paid out of the money owed to testator by Thomas Breten. To her also 2 bushel of malt to be received from Thomas Breten, and 6 bushel of barley ready dressed to sow being in testator's barn "And all the helpe in my howse Redy Rent".
To executors Richard Kater of Sandey and Thomas Breten of Gretford, half an acre of rye growing in the said furlong called Langland.
The residue of her estate, debts paid, to go to the church of Sandy to be used "as shalbe thowght best by the moste honeste of the parysshe".
