Draft letter from the solicitor of William Ernest Herbert to the trustees of the will of William Marks, deceased... 'I hereby give you notice that by indenture dated 12th Mar 1912 and made between William Marks of Ampthill, butcher and William Ernest Herbert the said William Marks has charged the share and interest to which he as one of the children of the same testator is entitled on the death of his mother Eliza Marks under the said will (proved in the Principal Probate Registry on the 29th Jun 1905) and all other share and interest under the same will to which he may hereafter become entitled with the payment to the said William Ernest Herbert of the further sum of £200 with interest thereon at the rate of £5 per centum per annum'.
