  • Title
Letter and enclosed invoice for taxes and tithe from Charles Pell Hall of Park Farm Office, Woburn (agent to the Duke of Bedford) to Mr. F.T. Tanqueray of Woburn, solicitor relating to the purchase of the late Mrs. Hannah Cook's property…'I enclose account of taxes and tithe due to his Grace up to Michaelmas last after deducting a proportion of the insurance premium. At one time it was thought the policy should be allowed to lapse at Michaelmas 1905 but we did not take out the new policy until Christmas therefore perhaps it is fair to allow the £-/7/9. The figures as to tithe are from the tithe apportionment, the averages do not agree with those supplied at the time of purchase but I presume it is correct to adopt the tithe award figures'.
