'By inclosure award dated 9th June 1803, George Cardale, Rector of Millbrook Parish Church is appointed and awarded a plot of land of 1a 15p in Sand Field; bounded on E by allotment of the representatives of Ann Roberts and an allotment of James Boughton; S by church yard and W by ancient enclosure assigned to Earl of Upper Ossory (part now exchanged). One other plot of land containing 7a 3r 3p in Washbrook field; bounded on E by ancient enclosure belonging to the Earl of Upper Ossory which was purchased by George Earl Spencer (part now exchanged); S by allotment of Samuel Candish & on W and N by allotment of said Earl Upper Ossory. And the said John Earl of Upper Ossory with consent of inclosure commissioners and Bishop of Lincoln exchanged with George Cardale inclosed ground belonging to the Earl called Cartwright's Close adjoining to the N side of the Rectors Close and the churchyard in Millbrook of 1a 5p; bounded on N by ancient enclosure of G. Cardale as Rector; E by allotment of G. Cardale as Rector; S by Church Yard of Millbrook and the Town Street and W by a cottage of the said Earl. Also the S part of another ancient inclosure of the said Earl on the W of Town Street of Millbrook called Dovehouse Close containing 3a 10p. And also another ancient inclosure of the said Earl called the Pightle containing 1a 16p; the said Dovehouse Close & Pightle bounded on N by farm and homestead of the said Earl in the occupation of Ambrose Platt; E by Town Street; S by ancient inclosure of the said Candish and W by allotment of G. Cardale as Rector. Together with the yearly sum of £1/8/- which would be otherwise due from the said Earl to the Rector in lieu and in exchange for all that fourth allotment herein awarded to the said G. Cardale as Rector as aforesaid containing 3a 3r 22p'.
