Draft Agreement Parties: (i) Robert Stewardson of Tansley, Derbyshire, mole catcher. (ii) Several occupiers of lands in Battlesden and adjoining farms, Beds. (only Arthur Syratt who owns 410 acres in Battlesden put his name to this draft agreement) Agreement: - (i) agrees for the term of 10 years to kill, keep down and destroy moles on land in Battlesden and adjoining farms. - (ii) agrees to pay (i) three half pence per acre per year for the first of the said term and one penny per acre per year for the remaining nine years of the term - Normal employment provisos stated including notice periods and cause for complaints.
