    Title of William Robert Taylor to a house at Woburn [annotated sold to Duke of Bedford]; of Charles Taylor to cottages at Birchmoor [annotated sold to Duke of Bedford's trustees], house in Bridges Street; of John Taylor to houses in Crane Court; and of W.R., C. and J.Taylor to houses in Fleet Street and Hen & Chickens Court as tenants in common. (I). Will of John Taylor of Woburn, gentleman of 14 Aug 1830: - to his wife Catherine his two dwellinghouses in Crane Court, Fleet Street, St.Dunstan-in-the-West [City of London] and dwellinghouse in Bridges Street, Covent Garden [Middlesex] which had lately descended to him on the death of his brother William Taylor; - to his sister Mary, wife of Andrew Gardner his three dwellinghouses in Fleet Street and in Hen & Chickens Court, Fleet Street in occupation of William Bowler; - to his brother Robert Taylor his capital dwellinghouse in Woburn in occupation of Bartholomew Best with yard and garden behind it all of which had lately descended to him from his late brother William; also freehold property at Birchmoor Green, Woburn - "N.B. The Dropshort property is here devised to Testator's sister Ann Rose" - appointing his sister Ann Taylor and John Green as executors; - proved in PCC on 13 Jun 1837 (II). Lease & release of 25 & 26 Jan 1839 "(as to property at Birchmoor) to come in here" (III). Death of Catherine Taylor intestate on 31 May 1839, letters of administration being granted to Robert Taylor (IV). Will of Robert Taylor of Woburn, gentleman of 2 Jul 1844: - to his wife Elizabeth his copyhold messuage at Woburn in occupation of Bartholomew Best with yard, buildings, garden & premises behind in same occupation; also 3 & 10 Crane Court, Fleet Street and all other real estate whatsoever; remainder to his son William Taylor; - his wife Elizabeth and son William to be joint executors; - proved in PCC on 21 Dec 1844 (V). Will of William Taylor of 117 Regent Street, London, grocer of 14 Apr 1845: - to his wife Catherine all his freehold property at Birchmoor Green; his copyhold dwellinghouse in Woburn in occupation of Bartholomew Best with garden etc. behind; 3 & 10 Crane Court; 6 Brydges Street, Covent Garden; - to his eldest son William Robert Taylor after death of his mother Catherine the copyhold messuage at Woburn in occupation of Bartholomew Best; - to his second son Charles Taylor after the death of his mother Catherine the freehold property at Birchmoor Green and 6 Brydges Street, Covent Garden; - to his youngest son John Taylor after the death of his mother Catherine 3 & 10 Crane Court, Fleet Street; - his wife Catherine and John Green to be executors; - proved in PCC on 24 Sep 1846 (VI). Will of Mary Gardner of Woburn, widow of 3 Jun 1846: - all her property in Fleet Street and in Hen & Chickens Court to John Green and Bartholomew Best in trust to receive rents, profits etc. and pay them to her sister Ann Rose for her life, remainder to her niece Catherine Taylor, widow of her nephew William Taylor for her life, remainder to Catherine's sons William Robert, Charles and John as tenants in common; - power of leasing; - John Green and Bartholomew Best to be executors (VII). Codicil to will of Mary Gardner of 13 Nov 1851 reciting death of Ann Rose and appointing Catherine Taylor trustee and executrix along with John Green and Bartholomew Best; - will and codicil proved in PCC on 17 Jun 1852 (VIII). Death of Catherine Taylor on 24 Mar 1862 (IX). Memoranda: - 3 Crane Court on lease to George Whelpton and William Thompson Whelpton at 50 per annum rent for 21 years from 25 Dec 1860; - 10 Crane Court on lease to James Taylor, printer at 20 per annum rent for 99 years from Midsummer 1837; - 6 Bridges Street in occupation of Aaron Pitt as yearly tenant at 38 per annum rent; - 3 houses in Fleet Street and Hen & Chickens Court on lease to William Blanchard for 25 years from 19 Sep 1863; - house at Woburn in occupation of John Gilby as yearly tenant at 60 per annum rent; - cottages at Birchmoor sold to Duke of Bedford's trustees in 1863; - family tree showing siblings: William Taylor; John Taylor; Catherine Taylor; Mary Taylor (married Andrew Gardner); Robert Taylor (married Elizabeth); Ann Taylor (married Robert Rose). Children of Robert and Elizabeth Taylor Catherine and William and William's children William Robert, Charles and John; - on back notes of descent of each property to current owner as described in abstract.
