Letter from R.H.Plater of 41 Southampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, London to John Thomas Green: - "It seems a pity to put my Client to the expense of a Journey to the County to receive his portion of the Mortgage Money & to avoid it he is willing that you should receive his share on his behalf & remit it to me or to him but in whatever way the money may come into the hands of the parties, my Costs amounting to 10 must be deducted therefrom. The Balance 40 & the Interest is divisible into four parts, Mr.Meager is entitled to one fourth, my Client to 1/4th, John Savage 1/4th & the children of the Testator's decd Daughter Mary the Wife of William White to the remaining 1/4th. My client proposes that the share of the above children be paid into a Post Off Savings Bank in the name of himself & Mr.Meager & upon John Savage being found to be alive (he is in America) that his share be thus remitted to him. If these terms are agreed to by Mr.Meager you may send me a receipt or whatever else you like until the Deed of transfer is ready & I will get my Client to sign it. I shall be glad to hear from you by return of post if possible. The Tombstone you refer to is my client's and not the Testator's
