Letter from R.H.Plater of Southampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, London to John Meager: - "I have received a letter from Josiah Bosten stating that he is now prepared to pay off his Mortgage, he also informs me that the Intt from the date of the Mortgage to June last has been paid. Mr.Bosten says he will pay the Money on receiving the Title Deeds, but this is out of the question, he may either have a short Deed reconveying the property to him when he pays the Money, or take a receipt indorsed on the Deed for it, the next question is whether he will want you & Mr.Savage to be present together when he pays his Money, if he does this could necessitate you & Mr.Savage making an arrangement accordingly upon this I should be glad to hear from you & at the same time please send me an account of the Intt paid to you by Josiah Bosten sharing an apportionment of the Interest owing the parties interested."
