  • Title
Correspondence from Crafter & Cosser of 81/2 Angel Court, Throgmorton Street, London regarding proposed purchase of National Debt Annuity by Sarah Ann Hill, stating what supporting documents were necessary, including: - proof of age with a note that her age would be computed from her baptism date [see HN10/276/Hill3] unless it was later due to "religious scruple" or "parents' neglect", and need for affidavit from someone who knew her between 10 and 15 years of age; - Ruth Morrison's proof of Sarah Ann Hill's age not considered good enough proof, one from her brother needed if possible or a page from the family Bible if available [!]; - W.B.Hill's declaration [see HN10/176/Hill9] regarding Sarah Ann Hill's age incomplete as he did not say she was his sister and that this needed to be done together with an explanation of why they were baptised together - annotated by solicitor "Mother was a Baptist. Father was an Independent. Could not agree."
