Letter from Halse, Trustram & Company of 17 Old Burlington Street, London to Frederic Tanqueray at Woburn: - "This Summons came before the Master this morning and the Defendant his filed Affidavit copy of which we enclose: thereupon the Master made an Order for Judgement for 8/18/1 unless such amount be paid within a week, and leave to defend as to the residue. If you so desire we can appeal to the Judge within four days and we await your instructions by wire tomorrow"
