  • Title
Letter from Halse, Trustram & Company of 61 Cheapside, London to John Thomas Green: - "We are in receipt of the valuation & papers sent with copy Interrogatives - but you have omitted to give us any instructions on the only Interrogatory we could not ourselves answer namely the 5th [see HN10/276/Green10] - extract endorsed - Please do this & we will send the papers to Counsel to settle the answers to the Interrogatories and advise as to the whole case and whether Def's should conduct it further or not"; - "We understand the 2nd Interrogatory to cover the report of Amsdon & the valuation of Thomas. The 5th Interrogatory appears directed to any valuation that may have been made after Mr.W.S.Green completed his purchase. We gathered from Mr.Thomas that Mr.Green re-sold the Brewery at a loss - probably a valuation was made then & the Interrogatory 5 is directed to ascertaining the amount of that valuation & when it was made. If the re-sale was at a loss it may be sought to suggest that Thomas' valuation was not reliable. Please observe the date when such valuation was made is called for as well as the amount."
