- TitleCopy Release [lease missing] by way of Family Settlement Parties: (i) Thomas Redman the elder of Cardington, yeoman; Thomas Redman the younger of Cardington, yeoman; (ii) Henry Whitbread of Cardington, gentleman; John Larking [Larkins] of Cardington, yeoman Reciting: - WB/WF2/14/3 - marriage settlement of 5 Jan 1697 [1698] between (1) Thomas Redman the elder and (2) Richard Impey; Judith Impey; William Bull the younger of Cardington, yeoman; John Larkins the younger of Cardington, yeoman; George Peirce; in consideration of Richard Impey paying 100 portion to (i) on solemnisation of the marriage (i) agreed to secure several sums of money for the subsistence of Judith Impey if she became a widow; (i), by his attornies Ambrose Reddall, Richard Blower and Francis Child, agreed that of the 600 suit bought against him in the Court of Common Pleas by William Bull, John Larkins and Richard Peirce 200 should be paid to Judith Impey on his death but if he died leaving Judith a widow with issue of theirs then 300 was to be paid in trust to William Bull, John Larkins and Richard Peirce; - (i) had pulled down (a) in WB/WF2/14/3 erecting a new messuage and several outhouses upon it which cost him 250 meaning that he could not leave the sums of money to Judith agreed on 5 Jan 1698 Operative Part: - (i), to secure provision for Judith Redman in the event of her widowhood, and for 5/- paid by (ii), released the new cottage in place of (a) as well as (b)-(f) in WB/WF2/14/3 to (ii) Habendum: - to (ii) to use of Thomas Redman the elderfor his life; remainder to (ii) for term of 500 years in trust to pay 10 per annum to Judith Redman after the death of Thomas Redman the elder for her life or 15 if they had issue (the child to be paid 8 per annum (12 if two children, 15 if more) from the death of Judith until it became 21 at which time (a)-(f) to be mortgaged or sold to raise 100 for the child); to use of Thomas Redman the younger Witnesses: - Francis Brace junior; - Marmard[uke?]Becke Certification of validity of copy of 14 Feb 1736 by Henry Horton and Griffith Morgan
