Detailed returns of half yearly payments for maintenance of named prisoners sentenced at the Assizes or Quarter Sessions or under various Acts, and kept at the expense of the Borough and County. Accounts for food, clothing, bedding, and fuel. Date of conviction, period of sentence, offence for which committed, period of maintenance in Gaol or House of Correction, and amount paid. Some covering letters from Theed Pearse to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, and certificates of local JP's.
