Arthur Purser, one of the sons of Richard Purser, plumber & decorator of Leighton Buzzard, with his nurse Mary Cloppel. Arthur, who is only a few months old in this photograph, was born in 1870 and died on 20th Nov. 1900 at Leighton Buzzard. By W. & J Piggott, Leighton Buzzard, photographers. This is probably the earliest known photograph by the Piggotts; the original is marked "11" on the dorse; the Piggotts started their business in L. Buzzard in 1871.
