    Photographs from volume "Anecdotes of Wardon Monastery" Stone tablet depicting procession (p.4) [9058-9] Note: source unknown. These sketches are likely to be artistic impressions of the monastery, since it was demolished by 1552. A newspaper cutting claims that many of the monastery buildings survived until the late eighteenth-century, citing Buck's 1730 view of the monastery (Z49/136). However, it is not clear whether the buildings shown in Buck's view were all built as part of Gostwick Mansion or comprise remnants of the monastery.
