    Copy will of Richard Bumstead of Aspley Guise, yeoman: - to his wife Susannah his cottage with close and orchard with 6.5 acres of arable and 2.5 acres of meadow belonging to it, all in his own occupation; after her death to their eldest son Robert Bumstead [the whole part freehold, part leasehold, no further explanation given]; - to his wife in trust until their second son Richard Bumstead became 21 the cottage and bakehouse in occupation of John Cooper; his windmill in Husborne Crawley; piece of meadow ground in Husborne Crawley purchased from Sir John Thomson [the whole part freehold part leasehold, no further explanation give]; - to Susannah estate in Aspley Guise lately purchased from Stephen Chesmore which she might sell and give to his son in law Edward Worster enough to make, with the money already spent on him by the testator, 200 as a marriage portion for their daughter, to be paid within two months of a marriage settlement enacted by Worster settling all Worster's Aspley Guise land on his wife, remaidner to their children; - to Susannah, the 4 closes called Fritnells in occupation of Thomas Butler of Longslade for her life, after her death to their two sons Robert and Richard; - residue to Susannah, whom he appointed executrix; - original signed with a mark and witnessed by Richard Smith, Charles Rome and Thomas Gressam; - proved 3 Aug 1717 in Archdeaconry Court of Bedford; - copied 31 Jan 1760 by Dixie Gregory, deputy registrar
