Parties:
(i) Thomas Henry, Baron Foley; Charles Romilly of Wilton Place, Belgrave Square [Middlesex], esquire; George Russell of Curzon Street, Mayfair [Middlesex], esquire (trustees for (ii));
(ii) William, Duke of Bedford;
(iii) Joseph Bennell of Hitchin [Hertfordshire], farmer
Reciting:
(I) admission, on 31 Oct 1814 of George Nash of Higham Gobion, yeoman and Robert Harewood of Preston [Hertfordshire], yeoman on surrender of 28 May 1814 of George Exton and Harriet his wife, William Exton and Francis Nash [the latter two as trustees for George Exton under surrender of 30 Sep 1809] to:
(a) 5 acres of newly inclosed land in Ampthill;
(b) Further Close or Several Close of 4 acres in Ampthill;
(c) New Close of 5 acres in Ampthill;
(d) Barn Close, 2 acres of pasture in Ampthill;
(e) Hither Close, Ampthill
- George Exton and Ann his wife being admitted on 14 Feb 1807 on surrender of John Ransom and Ann his wife
(II) presentment of court of 31 Oct 1814 that George Nash and Robert Harewood immediately surrendered the following in exchange for (a)-(e):
(f) close of pasture in Ampthill of 2 acres;
(g) 4a 2r 21p at Cooks Corner, Ampthill, bounded: NW by allotment to John Carte; NE and part SE by parish of Maulden; S and part SE by first allotment to George Exton; part Se by ancient inclosure of George Exton; part SW by private road to Seven Path Close
(III) (b) was sold to William Cook by George Nash and Robert Harewood on 31 Oct 1814
(IV) at court of 12 Jul 1854 Abraham Darby and William Grant, surviving devisees under will of John Grant, who survived Francis Nash, were admitted to (h) Seven Path Piece of 2 acres to which John Grant and Francis Nash were admitted on 31 Oct 1814 and which was now added to freehold lands called Saunders Piece and to (g)
(V) at court on 15 Nov 1855 Charles May of Great George Street, Westminster [London], civil engineer and Joseph Bennell were admitted tenants on surrender of Abraham Darby and William Grant to (g)-(h)
(VI) death of Charles May on 10 Aug 1860
(VII) it was considered that the description in (II) was erroneous and that (a) and (c)-(e) were the pieces of land involved

- (i), with consent of (ii) enfranchised (converted copyhold premises to freehold) (a) and (c)-(e)to (iii) for 17/10/-
