Release by way of conveyance between from Holland Scroxton, now a widower, of Milton Ernest, labourer to John Poole of Milton Ernest, baker, with John Hopkins Warden of Bedford, auctioneer, as trustee, for £44 of - (a) piece or parcel of ground in Milton Ernest on S or SW side of the road from Bedford to Radwell with dwellings thereon in the several occupations of [blank] Hart, the widow Skinner and William Solisbury, 66 feet long and bounded to S and SE other tenements late of Holland Scroxton, bought at auction by William Dawson. The conveyance recites the auction of the premises on 17 Dec 1816 when JP was highest bidder Holland Scroxton signed with a mark and witnesses were Richard Warniford and Thomas Harrison.
