  • Title
    Lease for a year, in consideration of 5 shillings and for rent of a pepper corn. Parties (i) William Arnold, carpenter, late of Woburn but now of Leighton Buzzard. (ii) Joseph Hayes, servant of the Duke of Bedford, Woburn Abbey. Property (a) Plot of ground in the parish of Aspley Guise containing 13 poles, 3/4 of a pole and 3 square yards or thereabouts, abutting on the north-east on the highway leading from Aspley Guise to the south end of Husbourne Crawley, on the south-east on the ground now or late of Henry Haynes, on the south-west on the land of Richard Thomas Hare, on the north-west on the ground and premises late of Thomas King and now of Thomas Oakden. Measuring in breadth on the north-east towards the road and also on the south-west towards the land of Richard Thomas Hare 28 feet, and in length from the centre of the south-west part 134 feet and 9 inches. (b) Two cottages and two barns lately erected by William Arnold on that plot, now in the occupation of Edward Worster and William Longe.
