Asks that William contact Mr PAKES for him to forward to Bro EDWARD, who "if he has a spark of brotherly feeling left, will surely pity our distress for them and soon relieve it.........." Mentions Sister Caroline's letter. Reports seeing in the English newspaper "The Watchman". Jesse BIGGS gratitude for his father's recovery; account of robbery at Jesse's mill; England's disturbed state and the high price of wheat. Gives accounts of the harvest, crop prices and farm animals. Recovering from a painful accident caused by a fall from a newly acquired horse(price £20)brought at a sale of horses and cattle. Broke both arms but "I now feel no inconvenience from it, althou' the ulna bone is not in its place".
