Letter from [Enie A.] Collier, teacher, Arnos S.[M]. School, Wilmer Way, Southgate, London, to her past pupil K.J. Petts, exclaiming "God, how you have advanced from those early days at Bowes Road, when I caught you caricaturing me...and in future...made you spend full time at drawing and painting." She wonders how he got through the war, and informs him that she was completely bombed out of her place in New Southgate in October 1940, and is still existing on "a pedagogue's miserable salary, trying to teach children who have no wish to learn."
