It is believed that this map dates c. 1902-4 based on the names listed and their dates of death and ownership of the specific areas in Colmworth in question, specifically John Usher (d. 1904) and the Rev Hunter Bird Allen, (d. 1906, but Rector of Colmworth from 1902). It is unclear what prompted the original OS second edition maps to be added to in this way and whether or not it was prompted by changes in the Poor Law Unions at the turn of the century.
