Reverse states “My Dear, The weather is lovely and it is as hot – I guess I won’t tell you how hot, but you can think the rest. Well I guess you should be here as I am very lonely. M.C.H”. The postcard is addressed to Miss D Shrives of 15 Marne Street, Kempston Bedford. Street directories show John Alfred Shrives at this address.
