Title
Letter from George Deacon, 16, Great George Street, Westminster, to Mr. Edwards at Clapham Road Pumping Station, advising that "If this weather goes on ... your difficulties in maintaining the supply without danger to the engines will undoubtedly increase unless the alteration I have pointed out is made at once." He notes that gauze screen is not large enough and suggests two screens so that the outer one can be easily closed.
