Correspondence regarding the proposed construction of a children's play area in Old Vicarage Orchard, off Britten's Lane, Salford. Correspondence includes:
-Application for permission to develop land etc, (also includes map of site);
-Detailed objections from J.F.L.Hill (tenant of Old Vicarage Orchard), and objections from Mr B and Mrs V White (whose property and home lay adjacent to the proposed site of the children's playing area), and Ian E. Smith Parish Councillor for Hulcote and Salford, on the basis of the dangerous road and the isolated nature of the site.
-Note regarding former Salford Cricket Club funds, which were available only to create a new club, and therefore could not be employed for the playing area.
-Refusal by Whitbread PLC to allow the landlords of the Swan Public House to use part of their land for a children's play area.
