1 Testimony by Rector of Sandy concerning constables accused of neglecting their office.RECTORS'S TESTIMONY These are humbly to certifie whom it may concern that the persons herein exprest (viz) Thomas Lawford & Edward Poplington constables for the Town of Beeston Thorncote & Hatch, Both Inhabitants of the parish of Sandy, are persons well affected to the government in Church & State as now by law establisht, of a very sober & regular Conversation, & who are thought to have been diligent in their office, which they have discharg'd to the satisfaction of the parish & that they do declare their late omission to have been the effect not of wilful neglect, but Ignorance.
