The Informacon of Francis Butterfeild of Harrowden in the County of Bedf laborer taken upon oath this xijth day of October in the Twoe & Thirtieth yeare of the raigne of cur Sovraigne Lord King Charles the second Annoque dni 1680 before William Boteler Esqr & Edmund Gardner Esqr twoe of Majesties Justices & c. This Informt saith that on Satterday last was Seavennight beinge the second of this instant October hee this Informant was at the gate of the Tyth barnes of Cardington about three of the clock in the afternoon & twoe younge men came rideinge by upon an horse colour black with a bobbed tayle and a white face downe to the nose & this informant sayth that hee doth veryly beleive the twoe younge men now shewed unto him called John Read & John Clarke tue the same younge men that, were upon the horse. This Informant saith that hee this Informt did on Sunday night the third of this instant October buy of John Clarke twoe dozen of Alchymy bottons which hee cutt of from a gray coate & a black hatt & ribban band.
