Title
Deposition: Christopher Gunhus, Kidby (Lincs), lab. 3 January 1681. Came from London; has been making chair bottoms. Made the besoms himself. The Examynacon of Christopher Gunhus late of Kidby in the County of Lincolne Laborer taken before me William Spemcer Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the sd County of Bedd the third day of January Anno dni 1680 This Examynant sayth that he lately came from London to Hertford and from thence to Beeston greene in the County of Bedi but knowe's not the name of the person whose howse he lay at & that there he lodged and contynued for the space of three weeks and bottomed Chaires in severall places of the sayd Cuntrey and further sayth that he made the before menconed beesoms and gathered the birch in a wood fowre or five myles from Beeston aforesayd but what wood or the name thereof he know's not & he further sayth that he was one of the late raysed Army under the Commaund of Sr Thomas Slingsby in the County of York Knight & Baronett and further this Examynant sayth not Will Spencer
