    Abstract of the title of James Pollard to land in Baker Street, Luton 1906 Abstracting as follows; (I)Conveyance from John Chase of Luton, gentleman, to Benjamin Bolton of the same, straw hat manufacturer, and his trustee William Bolton of the same, straw hat manufacturer, for £70, of: (a) parcel of land in the common field called Baily Field; bounded on the N.W. side by the land of the Marquis of Bute (intended to be conveyed to J C) , S.E. by other land of the Marquis, N.E. by other land of J C and S.W. by land of Mr Townrow containing 1 acre 13 poles numbered 1156 on the parish map and then late in the occupation of William Ainsworth Recites that the above land, amongst other lands, was conveyed by appointment in indentures, of lease and release dated 28-29 Sep 1803 between James Gutteridge and his wife Harriet and Ann Hay (1), Rebecca Hay (2), James Waller (3), Francis Coupees (4), John Chase (5) and Benjamin Harrison (6) (II) Documents as in X 843/10/2 (II)-(IV)
