    Deposition: William Gillham the younger. 7 April 1680 Confesses theft of money from shop of Th. Mansom, at instigation of Th. Saunders, who several times had divided money from Jn. Tebboth's shoo with him. The Examination of William Gillham the younger of Luton in the County aforesd, tayken before Sr John Napier Baronett one of his Majesties Justices of peace for the said County the 7th day of Aprill 1680. This examt sayth & confesseth that he went over Thomas Marsom's hatch the last night about eight of the clock into his shopp, and did take out of a Box within the Counter Two groats, A three pence, and eight farthings, being all Currant English money. And that he was instigated thereunto by one Thomas Saunders of Luton who had severall tymes devided money with him, gotten in the like nature, of breakinge the howse of John Tebboth. And that the said Saunders did give him for his share of what money he tooke from Tebboth xviijd a tyme for foure or five tymes. And this Examt further sayth & confesseth that he enter'd the howse of the said Tebboth, and did take money thereout, and did give Saunders for his share Twelve pence. And further sayth not. J Napier
