    Deposition: Dinah Wiffin, wife of William, St. Peter, Bedford. 1680 Describes her fits, some after seeing Jn. Wright begging at her door; her husband forbade her to give him anything. Dreams of J.W. at her bedside, about to choke her. The Informacon of Dinah Wiffin wife of William Wiffin of the Parish of St Petter Martyn in the Towne of Bedford bricklayer taken upon Oath before William Bamforth Esqr Mayor the seventeenth day of March Anno Do 1679 This Informant saieth that the first time shee Fell into fitts was About A Fortnight before Last Micalms was Twelvemonth, & those fitts held her about a week, from which time shee continued free from fitts till the thirteenth day of July last, then they took her again & continued one night, & the same week they took her againe, & shee hath bin several times troubled with them since; And shee saith that since the said 13th of July shee this deponent, hath several times upon the sight of John Wright in the Street & at her dore a begging fell a trembling at the sight of him; & being forbidden by her husband to give him anything. shee did forbear, & hath not given him anything above twice or thrice since about a fortnight after Michel last; And shee saith that within 3 or 4 months last past shee hath in her dreames several times seen the representation of, or imagined shee hath seen, the said John Wright stand by her bedside, & sometimes when shee hath bin awake; once shee dreamed he was laying his hand upon her throat to choake her, another time shee thought he was going to lie on her; And shee saith that several times before Sunday last she hath had thoughts that the said John Wright had said or don some thing to or concerning her which occasioned those her fitts; And shee saith that when shee hath bin in bed a little before the coming of her fitts shee hath fancied that shee hath seen the said John Wright at her beds feet & further this deponent saieth, that on friday last was sennight about one a clock at noone the said John Wright came to her dore a begging at which time this deponent was very well, & told him there was nothing for him, upon which he went away, & presently after this depont fell a trembling, & so fell into a very violent fitt. And shee further saith that on friday last about two a clock afternoon shee standing at the street gate of her house in St Peters & looking down the street shee saw the said John Wright in the street upon which she fell a trembling & forthwith came into the house & finding her self not well & fearing a fitt a coming shee went up into her chamber, but her fitt not coming she went down againe, & then was taken with a crying fitt, which lasted near two hours & then presently after shee fell into another violent fitt Dinah Wiffin
