    Deposition: Robert Almore, Sawtray (Hunts), lab. 20 November 1679. Travels with Hen. Handscombe. After his money ran out, he stole a shirt from Wm.Cotton and was arrested. The Examinacon of Robert Almore late of Sawtrey in the County of Hunts Labourer taken by me Thomas Bromsall Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the County of Bedd November 20th 1679 This Examinant saith That keepeing Company with one Henry Handskombe five or six dayes, and Rambling up & downe to Southow Offord Cluny & Darsy, Bugden & on munday the 17th of Nov instant came to St Neotts, where they had been two or three Tymes before at the signe of the George, drinkeing, & haveing Lent the said Hanscome & spent all his money but one shilling, thought to goe to London for worke, & went almost as farr as Gravely, but wanting money came Back to Bigleswade on Wednesday the nineteenth day of November instant, where one John Lucey of Sawtrey was to come to him with a horse, but comeing to Wm Cotton at the Royall Oake in Bigleswade, supped & dranke there, as much, as amounted to one shilling three pence, & there feloniously stole a shirt & runn away that night to the Crowne in Bigleswade, where staying all night runn in the score two shills & six pence for beere next morning runn away, & being pursued was taken by force & the shirt found upon him, which he Confessed to have stollen from the said Wm Cotton, & further saith not.
